On Saturday November 14, 2020; World Diabetes Day, experts in diabetes from around the world spoke about a variety of topics concerning diabetes. Below are videos of the speakers.

Tracey D. Brown - American Diabetes Association

 

Tracey joined the ADA in June 2018 after her tenure as Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief Experience Officer at Sam's Club, a division of Walmart.

Tracey brings more than 25 years of experience in driving globalbusiness growth, leveraging data to connect consumers with different brands. Dr. Steve Edelman - TCOYD

 Dr. Steve Edelman is founder and director of Taking Control Of Your  diabetes. He created TCOYD over 25 years ago. Steve is an  endocrinologist and professor of Medicine at University of California  San Diego. He is Medical director at the VA in San Diego. Steve has also  been a type 1 diabetic for over 50 years. Kyle j. Rose - International diabetes federation

Kyle is an international advocate focused on raising the voice of people with diabetes.

Terry Ackley - DECA

Terry Ackley is the Executive Director of the Diabetes Education and Camping Association (DECA), an organization that he helped create in 1997. DECA supports over 400 children’s diabetes camps worldwide. To learn more about DECA visit: DECA website.

Dr. Rama Natstajan- City Of Hope

Dr. Natarajan is Professor and Chair, Department of Diabetes Complications and Metabolism within the Diabetes and Metabolism Research Institute and Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope National Medical Center.  City of Hope research center is leading the way in research and to cure type 1 diabetes.

Grant Maltman - Banting house historic site

For almost thirty years, Grant Maltman has served as the historian and curator of the Banting House National Historic site of Canada. Norma Callahan - Florida Lions Retinopathy foundation

Bob Halickey - Southwest Airlines
